Val Dockeray

I live in the city of Carlisle, in a beautiful area of northern England, on the fringe of the Lake District. I feel blessed to have been born in such a magnificent corner of the planet. I have a son and a daughter, both now very discerning young adults and a constant source of joy to me.

My working background lies in industry, education and the youth service. I spent four very challenging and happy years as youth leader of an inner city youth club, during the period 2000 to 2004. I taught further education evening classes and was involved in the adult literacy scheme during the 1980’s. During the period 1995 to 2007, I held a senior administrative post, work I embraced with enthusiasm and commitment.

In September 2004 I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma. The diagnosis of cancer was a catalyst for a major life change for me. Having been plunged into a very fearful place initially, I slowly climbed the huge mountain in front of me and I can now say that the diagnosis of cancer is a wonderful gift.

I have spent the last three years on an incredible journey of self-healing and self-discovery. I believe we all have an innate ability to heal our own bodies. I have had surgery three times as part of my cancer treatment and I am under the care of two wonderful hospital consultants. I hold great respect for the hospital treatment I receive and throughout my cancer journey I have followed, and continue to follow, my inner guidance and, in turn, my consultants respect my decisions regarding the treatment plan.

As part of my self-healing process I sought a Reiki Level I attunement in July 2005. I quickly realised that Reiki is a wonderful medium and extremely beneficial for healing on all levels and I knew then that I wanted to ‘channel’ Reiki to provide a service to others. When the opportunity arose to receive Reiki Level II training and attunement, I took that opportunity and I received a Level II attunement in February 2006. Anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t do anything by halves! and in August 2007, I received an attunement to Reiki Master/Teacher Level. I am also a qualified Reflexologist. I am studying spiritual healing, allowing my Guides to work through me.

I am part of a new cancer support group in Carlisle and I am a member of the spiritual care team at the local Hospice, both voluntary roles.

In August 2007 I decided to leave paid employment to follow my dream. Watch this space!

My life purpose is to speak the message of Love and my vision is to convey this message to as many people as possible. I have met many, many people in my life who share this vision and Rob Mason is one such person. Rob and I hold very similar views and our Flying Without Wings project and staging workshops will help us achieve our goal. Part of my purpose is to help others come to the realisation that by listening to inner guidance; unlimited joy, happiness and peace within, can be achieved, allowing us to reach our full potential as the powerful and creative beings we are. A beautiful consequence of achieving this peaceful state within, is planetary love, joy and peace.


Robert Mason

Many people fall upon their spiritual path following a traumatic event in their lives, and I am no exception. Within 12 months of my marriage coming to an end, I came across the work of Brian Tracy, Dr Wayne Dyer, Gill Edwards and Sanaya Roman, among others, and my life changed with unexpected speed. During a near-death experience, I was protected by my Angel who saved my life and literally flung me onto my knees in gratitude.

I have continued to train with and study the work of major spiritual and personal development teachers from both Britain and the USA and spiritual awareness and personal growth have become the centre of my life. Through inspirational workshops and the internet, I share with other people all around the world the love and joy that this has brought into my own life.

Practising as a business systems consultant throughout the UK and Europe during most of my working life, I have successfully completed assignments for industry-leading organisations in most market sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, local government, banking, the National Health Service and the United Nations.

One of my most fulfilling web sites offers absent healing to people all around the world and people in many different countries have used this service.

I am totally excited and thrilled to facilitate and present Flying Without Wings workshops with Val Dockeray, who is a beautiful and powerful worker for all that is good. Together, we offer personal workshops in towns and cities around the United Kingdom, and also around the world by using online workshops on the Internet, helping people to be all that they can be.
